SATC 2 Set Design

So I finally saw the Sex and the City 2 movie, and I loved it! I know that its getting terrible reviews but I thought it was super cute, silly, and heart warming. What more do you expect from these ladies? Yes, a little politically incorrect at times but if you want to smile look at fabulous clothes and set design then go and check it out!

Here's Carrie's two homes:

While I do love me some Carrie, Samantha stole the show in my opinion, super funny and she looked better than ever! Is that botox? If so sign me up (in a few years that is hah)

What did you think? Have you seen the movie? Love it? Hate it?

Decorating the Mantle

I got an email from a reader asking for fireplace inspiration, so I thought I would share with you some of my favorite ideas for a fireplace mantle. Since they are generally the focal point of the room I tend to like them with a large striking piece above them such as a beautiful piece of art or a mirror. Then you can add some vases, frames, candles to the mantle. They look great super symmetrical or eclectic. I would suggest trying both and see what pleases your eye.

a

Or you can go the total Symmetrical route! I always love symmetry so pleasing to the eye.

Hope That this Helped Cindy!!

Weekend Warrior Beachside Pad

A few weeks ago my girlfriend called and said she needed some help in her home. Specifically she had a table that her and her hubby had inherited from his last job that they had been using for a dining table. She wanted to make it look less like an office table and more "homey", I said no prob and grabbed another friend to come along.

We had a great girls weekend and got a lot done in her home. Since we were on a budget we shopped at Home Goods, Pier One, and Home Depot for paint.

Here's the before of her home:

My god daughter with the before of the chair. Isn't she adorable!! :-)

Here's the After:

We painted the harsh black on the tables the perfect shade of "Tiffany Blue" and gave the chairs a coat of white spray paint.
Hit up Home Goods for the accessories, and Pier One for the Chair! The little table was also inherited from his work but with such a cute shape we knew it had to be blue!
But then we went to another Home Goods to return a few things and look what we found:

Isn't it adorable! It was marked down from $399 to $250 but then asked and got it marked down to $225 because their was a very small hole from where the tag had been! SCORE!
She still needs a few things, such as a kid friendly coffee table and rug, but I just love the way its turned out so far.

Neve's Nursery

A Couple of weeks ago when I was home for Mother's Day, I got to go see my girlfriend Christyn and her new baby Neve. What an adorable little girl, when she's sleeping she snugles up to her little hands and let me just tell you I did not want to let her go! I went crazy for her nursery, it turned out so cute that I had to share with you.

Here is the lovely Nursery! Her sister painted the walls based on the bedding from Pottery Barn. She makes lots of cute kids accessories you can check out here.

One of my favorite parts of the room, she put all different knobs from Anthropologie mixed in the nursery.

Heres Mama and baby. Soo cute right!
