My bags are packed!

It isn't too often that I come across a house that I adore every room. Weird right? But true..There's usually things I would add or omit, but that isn't the case with this house designed by the super fab Angie Hranowsk. I have seen some of the rooms in the past but had no idea the belonged to the same gorgeous home. Can you imagine living here?! I sure can!



I just love her use of color in this room. That X bench is just to die for!

I spy a gorgeous Dorothy Draper chest in the corner! LOVE.

The blue chandelier is genius in this space. It feels girly yet elegant.

This is my favorite part of the house which appears to be a hallway. I absolutely love the pink wallpaper mixed with the gold chinoiserie lamp, and the zebra rug!

How cute is this tiny little bathroom!

Free for all Friday! Save the Dolphins!

Have you seen or heard of the documentary The Cove? It follows filmmakers Ric O'Barry,and Louie Psihoyos and animal activist to Taiji, Japan to expose the slaughtering of hundreds of innocent dolphins. Yesterday while watching an Oprah “Earth Day” special on this documentary I learned that from September to March, thousands of dolphins are slaughtered in this small body of water in Taiji. Some are spared and sold to marine parks around the world, but the rest are killed for their meat.

The movie was made to bring forth change in Japan, to stop the slaughtering and educate the people. In Japan dolphins are very commonly served and eaten.
Over the past 10 years, however, the dolphin meat tested in Japan has been deemed toxic by Japanese standards. This meat contains very high levels of mercury, which we know is extremely harmful to our bodies and potentially deadly.
When asked about the documentary the Mayor of Taiji responded that ;"The movie portrays false claims not based on science as if they are true. We regret that. It's important to mutually respect food culture based upon the understanding of long-standing traditions and circumstances in each region."


Here is a quote from yesterdays Oprah from one of the Film makers Ric O’barry:

“After watching The Cove, people will be shocked by the slaughter and inspired by the magnificence of these mammals. It's not about intelligence. It's about consciousness. They are self-aware like humans are self-aware, I don't believe that the fishermen are aware of that."

White Hot Wednesday- House Beautiful Style

Thank you thank you to Paloma for introducing me to this gorgeous home designed by Massucco Warner Miller featured in House Beautiful. Is it just me or is HB getting better and better!!!

I just cannot get enough of this gorgeous home! Neutral/ White pallet with pops of color! Yes please! Im just in love with the tufted light blue sofa mixed with orange pillows! wow!

A Totally Vogue First Apartment

I'm sure many of you have seen this lovely little apartment featured in Traditional Home but I just cant get enough of how adorable it is soooo here you have it! I've always been drawn to tiny spaces and love how obtainable and cozy that can be.

The apartment belongs to recent college grad and Teen Vogue writer Lauren McGrath. Her and her mother interior designer Suzanne McGrath decorated it together! Suzanne used to work for Martha Stewart so you know the woman is crazy talented/ creative.

Lauren says that she always knew that they would decorate her first place together so she actually started collecting things while she was still in college. Smart right!?!

Lauren modernized her great-grandparents’ dresser with fresh white paint and new hardware she found in a sale basket at Anthropologie. Score!!

I personally would have continued the curtain panels into the kitchen just to give the room a unifed look... Although this kitchen nook sure is cute!

This is Laurens cozy bedroom, how adorable is that Venetian mirror, and the Lucite stool!

Did everyone have a good weekend? I spent mine laying pretty low.. Went to a movie with my hubby Date Night with Tina Fey (it was cute).. Did a little furniture shopping with a friend at the Estate Warehouse (they had soo much cute stuff) and got caught up on some magazine reading...

I fell absolutely in love with this gorgeous outside table scape that was in Traditional Home

So gorgeous! Those glasses and plates look like they could be found at my favorite Anthropologie, Home goods has some similar white jars, now all I'll need are some limes and some yummy flowers. hmmmmm..

Butterfly Love

So I'm not sure where I found this living room.. sorry about that one but hey its Monday my brain doesn't work till Tuesday :) Anyway I love it. I think it looks young, hip, and funky.


I've been loving butterflies lately, and I guess I am not alone.

This print below just came out from Zgallerie for $299..



One of my best girlfriends just got engaged and her fiance actually had the prongs made into a butterfly, holding up the solitaire. Sooo Sweet!!
