Turquoise Decorating

When I saw these gorgeous and glamourous images on House of Turquoise, I knew I had to share them! Isn't this such a beautiful space. Kelley Proxmire designed it for The Washington Design Center's 2010 Design House. Kelley says that she envisioned the space as the Park Avenue home of a New York socialite, I'd say she hit the mark!! Gorgeous!

Without a doubt...she hit the mark. The room is traditional in her use of dark colors and traditional furniture. However the unexpected is seen in the geometric design created on the floor..What did she use? Paint? It looks FAB! And yet...a dose of chic and elegance is optimized with the carefully infused color of gorgeous turquoise. A job well done, truly!
